VEQTRON® ICG/NIR Imaging System

Brand: VEQTRON®

ICG/NIR fluorescence imaging for minimally invasive surgery, with 4 CMOS 4K technology and four display modes.

Product details

Better patient outcome

ICG/NIR fluorescence imaging has become one of the most valuable technologies in minimally invasive surgery, especially for intra-operative checks of visceral perfusion, the visualisation of biliary structures and lymph node mapping.

  • Innovative 4 CMOS 4K technology
  • Super high fluorescence sensitivity
  • Standard White Light Mode, Standard Fluorescence Mode, ISO Fluorescence Mode and Multi-Display Mode
  • Technology which presents pictures rich in depth, texture and detail (3D effect)
  • Ultimate colour reproduction which brings true-to-life colour

Four different display modes

The VEQTRON Imaging System offers four different display modes without any loss of image quality.

Standard White Light Mode

Standard White Light Mode

3-CMOS white light image, used for all standard minimally invasive surgeries.

Standard Fluorescence Mode

Standard Fluorescence Mode

High-quality fluorescence image for detection of ICG.

ISO Fluorescence Mode

ISO Fluorescence Mode

Fluorescence and white light image merging for intensity tracking of ICG direction of flow.

Multi-Display Mode

Multi-Display Mode

White light, fluorescence green, ISO fluorescence and NIR black-and-white displayed at the same time, with the option to choose the mode on the main display.

Fluorescence guided surgery

Fluorescence refers to the ability of some atoms and molecules to absorb light at a particular wavelength (excitation) and then to emit light of a longer wavelength during a short-lived emission. This means:

  • Fluorescence allows blood flow in tissues to be assessed very well, e.g. anastomosis visualization
  • In the case of tumors, good visibility of the tumor boundary, so that exact removal is possible without opening the tumor. The risk of tumor cells spreading in the situs is significantly reduced
  • Less stress for clinical staff, with cost and time savings
  • Metastases become visible
  • Visualization of the lymphatics is possible
  • Presentation of the choledochus
  • Elaborate marking with radio markers is not necessary, therefore less burden for the patient
  • Visualization of the anastomosis in oesophageal carcinoma
  • Various other indications

As of today, we are still at the beginning of the possibilities for indications with fluorescence. Due to new innovative techniques, such as the hand-held camera, fluorescence will also become more and more important in open oncological surgical techniques, e.g. in the parathyroid gland (autofluorescence).

Principle of ICG

  1. ICG enters the circulatory and lymphatic system via serosal, sub-mucosal or intravenous injection.
  2. ICG binds with plasma proteins.
  3. After receiving excitation NIR light of 805–835 nm wavelength, a fluorescence signal is emitted.
